Proposed State-approved Built Operational

A 10 GWh LFP assembly plant cleared in Odisha — large on paper, but still an approval, not a factory.

What it means

LFP is now the default chemistry for stationary storage because of its cycle life and thermal stability, and an assembly plant turns cells into racks and containerised systems. At 10 GWh this would be among the larger announced Indian BESS assembly projects — compare Powertrac’s 10 GWh and AmpereHour’s 5 GWh plants. State approvals are an early gate, and not every approved plant gets built on schedule.

Odisha’s own storage demand, including Coal India’s 80 MW / 320 MWh tender, is covered in our Odisha BESS policy note.
